- Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad was established in 26 October 1959. It was opened to the public on 6 October 1963.
- The Nehru Zoological Park is run by the Forest department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and is named after the first prime minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru.
